H.E. Dr. Sid Ali KETRANDJI, Algerian Ambassador to Japan paid a visit to NIMS President Prof. Ushioda. [announcement]

In Algeria, education of young researchers and graduate students is also important issue and the Ambassador particularly took a great deal of interest in our graduate school and internship programs with universities both in Japan and overseas.


The Ambassador received an overview presentation of NIMS and had a discussion with President Prof. Ushioda and executives.

Both sides also exchanged opinions how to return the results of basic research to society and how to develop them sustainably.

After the meeting, the Ambassador listened to an explanation about superconducting materials and visited related laboratory.

It is hoped that exchange of Algerian young researchers and graduate students will be developed.
