We?ve all done it before?you?re running ten minutes off schedule and shuffling through your mega-sized purse seeking your most prized possession: a limited edition bronzer you had to scour shelves for in Sephora. You finally grasp your compact only to have it slip out of your hands and slam onto the floor, leaving your heart and powder broken into itsy bitsy pieces. You?re probably thinking at this moment that you should bid your makeup adieu, right? Wrong! With a little bit of ambition, some things are better fixed than replaced?especially if those things only come out once in a lifetime!
Emergency: My compact broke!
Quick Fix:
If your blush, bronzer or pressed powder breaks into a zillion pieces, it may almost seem like there?s pretty much nothing you can do about it. However, there is a quick fix for this product debacle. Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to your compact and smooth over with the bottom portion of a spoon. Be sure not to overdo it on the alcohol or else it may become pasty. Let the powder dry before using it. Don?t have the patience to make your powder whole? Turn it into mineral consistency and place the powder in an empty jar to use. Crisis averted!
